Matthias Wasel, Karl Heinz Kleine, Dr. Peter Taggart, Nigel Morrison, Bertil Snell and Richaro Rostrom.

The race was held over 5 heats and it was frantic. This great little circuit was my 1st international race and no one was more surprised than me when I won. Part of the success must be due to all the training I had done at my local circuit, Lydden Hill in Kent which is another tight twisty track like Jyllandsringen.Of course there was preparation by Tim Hammond and Adrian Saunders. Tim passed away in a road traffic accident but where is Adrian ? He went to Abingdon to restore antique clock faces last I heard.

My dear friend Jacques Barichella is the person who is responsible for many of the great photos on this site. He was often with us in the late 60’s early 70’s and was the pit manager in Le Mans 1972. As you will see he is an excellent photographer. Not only that but Jacques is also a very competitive driver who went twice on the great adventure of the Paris Dakar rally in 1983. He used a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Mercedes G Class. The great achievement is that Jacques finished both events. Bravo Jacques and thanks for the wonderful images over the years.

The Honda Monkey bike was standard kit for getting round the paddock in the racing teams and still is.Here in 1966 I have the “mode” of the period of long side burns, not pretty but I did look pretty happy in this photo.These old Honda bikes are much sort after and good one are making around £15,000 which too much, there are new ones around for much less.

Here is another picture from the Norisring Interserie race at Norisring 1970. This track is shaped like a banana with two long curves joined by a hairpin at one end and the other end comes into the stadium where Hitler used to have many of his rallies.
The cars race up and down the two very long curves flat out on the edge of their adhesion with out braking maneuvers near the hairpin. All very exciting. I am so pleased to have these photos of my participation in this event despite the fact we were out classed by 6 and 7 litre true Can-Am cars. They were great to watch from where I was sitting. After two heats we finish 11th. The race was won by Gijs van Lennep in the Austrian Porsche 917.

What a crowd he drew, Malcolm sits on the side pod bare chested chatting to Barrie before the 200 mile race at Norrisring in 1970. A super period photo by unknown photographer. This is a great track which is very fast, specially in a 5 litre T70.

This is 1965 and Dollie is holding baby Max and standing in front of the Austin Ruby which she used to learn to drive. It really did serve her well and the crash gearbox needed doubling the clutch both up and down the gears, a skill not many ladies can achieve ! I am sure that this grounding gave her a driving ability which is appreciated by many these days.
