I found this April 1966 Car and Car Conversions Magazine with the first road test of a Broadspeed Mini, which I once owned. This was the most wonderful little car in which I did several long Continental journeys. Broadspeed really made a great job on their conversion to a standard 1275 Mini Cooper S. The engine was enlarged to 1293cc. One of the best changes was to lengthen the final drive giving it a real cruising speed of 80 mpg possible. I bought the car from my friend and local dealer Ken Cheshire and paid about £950 if my memory serves me correctly.Happy Days in EOP89D.
